Foreman Marine Engineering, LLC was started as a way to assist companies with the various technical issues that come up from time to time, when their ships call US Ports and Owners/Charterers need answers immediately.
Our experience is the result of years of working within the guidelines of US Maritime Laws as Sailing Chief Engineers and Captains. Our Auditors, Inspectors, and Representatives are chosen on the basis of having sailed in the Senior Ranks on Commercial ships as either Unlimited Chief Engineer or Captain.
Accident Investigation:
Our staff has experience in performing Accident investigations, Root Cause Analysis, and Background on Ships and is intimately familiar with the proper operation and maintenance that these systems require.
Environmental:
We are set to fully engage with companies who wish to improve their business by increasing
crew awareness to applicable Environmental laws, thus reducing the company exposure
to possible financial penalties as the result of Ship and Crew violations.
Auditors/Inspectors
are experienced with all stages of compliance, from Enhanced Environmental Compliance
Plans (ECP’s ), to ISM, to ISO14001.
We can and will assist companies the help navigate through the various requirements
of a Court-Mandated ECP. We are familiar with both sides of the Audit Process and
can perform assessments on behalf of the company to prepare for what is to come.
We
have found that a well-prepared company, that takes a Pro-Active approach, rather
than a Re-Active approach to Environmental compliance is ahead in both compliance
and cost savings by “doing it right the first time”
Environmental Management System Manuals are often a required condition of ECP. We can assist you with this development process so that Your Company can be ahead of the game from the start, rather than constantly reacting to Auditors/Inspectors findings..
Through our audits, assessments, plans, and training your company will develop a
working system where all involved will understand the regulations, and have a ready
reference in the EMS.
Project Managers:
Our staff have experience as Owners representatives during Drydocking and conversion projects. Our experience is based from the deckplates and floorplates of taking various ships through these events over the course of each person’s sea-going career in addition to those projects that have been engaged after “coming ashore”
